6月3日，“传承销烟精神·共享无毒生活”广东省全民禁毒工程虎门销烟180周年纪念活动在东莞虎门举行，全省21个地市121个地区同步开展活动。副省长、省禁毒委主任、公安厅厅长李春生出席活动并讲话。 李春生指出，今年是新中国成立70周年，是决胜全面建成小康社会关键之年，同时也是我省三年全民禁毒工程建设攻坚冲刺年。要始终坚持以人民为中心的发展思想，把禁毒工作作为象征中华民族伟大复兴的义举善举来做好，绝不能让毒品问题危害社会稳定，损害人民利益，要以全民禁毒工程的新成效、新业绩，推动全省毒品形势根本好转，为广东实现“四个走在全国前列”作出积极贡献。 李春生强调，各地各部门要坚持把禁毒宣传教育置于禁毒工作优先发展的战略地位，作为禁毒工作的基础工程和治本之策，真正引导广大人民群众秉承健康人生理念，创造绿色无毒生活，从源头上解决毒品问题。各级党委、政府和禁毒部门要继续把禁毒工作作为党政工程来推动，加大经费、人员、基础设施建设保障力度，要以对党和人民高度负责的态度，始终保持对毒品犯罪的严打高压态势。
