Tasmanian exports have grown again, with an increase of 5.7 per cent compared to the previous year. We have exported $3.74 billion worth of goods, supporting local business and jobs across the state. These positive export results follow yesterday’s economic data which showed Tasmania leads the nation in state final demand growth for the first time in 15 years. The Tasmanian Government is working to maintain the momentum and invest for further growth, including through our new Tasmanian Trade Strategy. Under our plan we will increase the capacity for local businesses to get their goods and services to markets across the world that are screaming out for what we have to offer.
