The International Women’s Day is around the corner. Recently, a number of scenic spots in Hunan Province have launched various preferential activities including discounted tickets for female visitors.
Changsha City
Xiangjiang Joy Town
The Happy Snowfield of Xiangjiang Joy Town has launched a snow queen festival. From March 4th to 8th, visitors in a group of two, with at least one woman, can enjoy a “buy one, get one free” ticket. The ticket is only available online on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please refer to the town’s announcements.
Window on the World
For visitors who purchase tickets before March 11th, the ticket price for two women is 200 yuan, and that for one man and one woman is 300 yuan. It should be noted that this offer cannot be enjoyed together with children’s tickets, college tickets, group tickets and other preferential tickets.
Dawei Mountain
From March 5th to March 8th, Dawei Mountain offers a “buy one, get one free” entrance ticket to all visitors. Female tourists enjoy free entrance on March 8.
Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town
From March 1st to March 13th, Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town offers half-price admission (88 yuan per person) to female visitors.
Changde City
Taohuayuan Scenic Area
From March 5th to 8th, female residents from places outside Changde City can enjoy a discounted ticket priced at 38 yuan per person. On March 8th, free entry will be offered to the first 1,000 Changde female residents visiting the scenic area.
Huayanxi Scenic Area
Female visitors enjoy free entry to the scenic area.
Rowing Boats on Liuye Lake
Half-price tickets are offered to female tourists between March 5th and 8th.
Chenzhou City
Feitian Mountain Scenic Area
From March 1st to 31st, Chenzhou female residents can visit the scenic area with a 40-yuan (20 yuan for those aged 60 and above) boating ticket.
Those who were famed as “March 8th Red Banner Holders”, “the Most Beautiful Hunan Women” and “Female Model Workers”, can enjoy free entry to the scenic area by showing-related certificates.
Chenzhou female residents can apply for a 60-yuan annual travel card (including boating) to enjoy unlimited visits to Feitian Mountain within a year.
Dongjiang Lake
From March 1st to 31st, women who enjoy the title of March 8th Red Banner Holders and Role Models of the Position can visit route 1 of Dongjiang Lake free of charge (including sightseeing bus fares).
From March 3rd to 11th, female tourists will be offered a 38-yuan ticket for travel route around the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area (including sightseeing bus and boat fares). The original price is 170 yuan.
Zhuzhou City
Mausoleum of Emperor Yan
From March 6th to 8th, female visitors can enjoy free entry to the Mausoleum of Emperor Yan. Male visitors can enjoy a half-price ticket.
