Queensland jobs grow by 51,000

Employment growth statistics released in May show 51,000 jobs have been created in Queensland since January 2015.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the Government was focussed on jobs growth.

“The budget to be delivered by the Treasurer in three weeks will be focused on jobs,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

“This deliberate focus on jobs will ensure we boost employment prospects in our state of Queensland, but it also gives us the reach to go after jobs beyond our borders.

“We are a low-tax state, we have skilled people and we are determined to see our economy grow.”
