QUÉBEC CITY, March 3, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

  • 1,257 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 925,566*;
  • 24 new deaths, for a total of 14,040 deaths;
  • 1,364 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 17 compared to the previous day;
    • 98 new entries,
    • 115 new discharges;
  • 76 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 6 compared to the previous day;
    • 8 new entries,
    • 14 new discharges;
  • 16,959 samples conducted on March 1;
  • 100,220 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 78,129 positive: 416 declared for yesterday, including 286 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

Vaccination

  • 7,444 doses administered are added, that is 7,221 doses in the last 24 hours and 223 doses before March 2, for a total of 18,448,103 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 306,580 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 18,754,683 doses received by Quebecers.
