Premier Silver to attend Council of the Federation meeting

16

Premier Sandy Silver will attend the Council of the Federation meeting from July 11 to 12 in Victoria, British Columbia. Premier Silver will be meeting in-person with all 13 Canadian Premiers for the first time since the pandemic began. The meeting is an opportunity to highlight the priorities of Yukoners and advance discussion on common challenges facing Canadians.

Premier Silver will lead a discussion on Arctic sovereignty and security at the meeting. The Council of the Federation will also discuss a number of issues related to healthcare, economic recovery and affordability.

I look forward to working with my fellow Premiers in person once again. These meetings help us raise the profile of challenges facing Canadians across the country while collaborating on solutions that work for Canadians and Yukoners alike.
