6月5日，省长吴政隆在南京会见澳大利亚维多利亚州州督德绍。吴政隆对德绍再次来江苏访问表示欢迎，转达了省委书记娄勤俭的问候，并简要介绍了江苏经济社会发展情况。他说，今年是江苏与维州结好40周年，在两省州共同努力下，友好合作硕果累累，已成为中澳地方间交流合作的典范。一个多月前，我与安德鲁斯州长在南京共同为结好40周年系列庆祝活动拉开帷幕，此次，州督阁下到访江苏，充分体现了两省州的深厚友谊，必将推动双方合作向更广领域更深层次发展。进入新时代，江苏在习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想指引下，将坚定不移深化改革、扩大开放，坚持维护多边贸易体系，以更高水平对外开放推动高质量发展走在前列。站在结好40周年的新起点上，希望双方在“一带一路”框架下，跑好接力赛，进一步深化经贸投资、科技创新、教育医疗、文化旅游体育等人文领域合作，让两省州友谊之树更加根深叶茂，合作成果更多惠及两地人民。德绍表示，江苏推动创新发展、建设宜居城市，增强了人民的幸福感，也给我们留下了深刻印象。这与维州大力发展知识经济创新产业、构建宜居环境，非常相似。维州积极响应“一带一路”倡议，愿与江苏挖掘合作潜力、分享发展经验、共享优质资源，推动各领域务实合作取得更加丰富的成果。副省长郭元强，省政府秘书长陈建刚参加会见。
