5日傍晚，莫斯科动物园熊猫馆，“丁丁”和“如意”在自己的“大套房”内大口大口嚼着胡萝卜，还不时对玻璃隔板外的记者摇头晃脑，一幅憨态可掬的样子。
两个小家伙从中国大熊猫保护研究中心雅安碧峰峡基地来到这里已经一个多月了。看得出来，它们很喜欢这个万里之外的新家，也已经适应了这里的新生活。
20时15分左右，正在对俄罗斯进行国事访问的国家主席习近平在普京总统陪同下来到莫斯科动物园，出席熊猫馆开馆仪式。
熊猫馆内，国家林业和草原局局长张建龙、莫斯科市市长索比亚宁、莫斯科动物园园长阿库洛娃向习近平主席详细介绍两只中国大熊猫的生活情况。
莫斯科动物园在熊猫馆内为“丁丁”和“如意”各准备了一套两室一厅的“大套房”，充分满足它们吃睡玩的需求。此外，动物园还配备了食物调制间、竹子保鲜室、监控室，确保它们在成长过程中保持良好的生理和心理状态。
习近平主席认真听取汇报，并不时提问。
两位领导人走出熊猫馆，立刻被等候在外的30多名中俄小朋友簇拥在中间。
中国小朋友们问候习近平主席：“习爷爷好！”并用俄文问候普京总统。
俄罗斯小朋友们用中文问候习近平主席：“您好！”
习近平主席微笑地跟孩子们打招呼：“你们好！”
两位领导人同孩子们亲切互动，合影留念。
孩子们手上举着熊猫玩偶，脸上洋溢着幸福的笑容。
此情此景，暖意浓浓。
似乎受到外面热烈气氛的感染，“丁丁”和“如意”的心情格外好，更加起劲儿地嚼着胡萝卜，摆出萌萌的姿态，享受着这样一个有滋有味、舒适和谐的初夏夜晚。
这是这两位“中俄友谊特使”在俄罗斯的首次公开亮相。
陪同习近平主席出席熊猫馆开馆仪式前，普京总统在记者会上特别提到“丁丁”和“如意”落户莫斯科动物园。“当我们说起大熊猫，总会面带微笑。中国把‘国宝’大熊猫送到这里，将见证我们两国友谊的进一步发展。”
当晚，习近平主席出席中俄建交70周年纪念大会时表示，“丁丁”和“如意”落户莫斯科动物园，将为俄罗斯人民特别是小朋友们带来欢乐，成为中俄两国人民友谊的又一佳话。“下一步，我们要在教育、文化、体育、旅游、媒体、青年等领域举办更多人民广泛参与、喜闻乐见的活动，鼓励两国社会各界、各地方加强交流互鉴，促进理念沟通、文化融通、民心相通，共同传递中俄世代友好的接力棒。”
