活动标识以数字“70”和代表国家形象的国徽五星及天安门作为设计核心元素，紧扣中华人民共和国成立70周年庆典活动主题。活动标识中，“70”设计成翻开历史新的一页的视觉效果，突出党和国家各项事业的崭新形象，寓意在以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚强领导下，中国特色社会主义进入新时代，中华民族奋力谱写新篇章。“7”的造型又像节日的彩带，其飘动的效果与醒目的金色立体国徽五星及天安门所在的圆形构成了一动一静的互动关系，既体现了历史的厚重感，又蕴含了重大节日的欢庆气氛。
