6月5日，省委副书记、省长、省政府党组书记王晓东主持召开省政府党组（扩大）会议，传达学习习近平总书记在“不忘初心、牢记使命”主题教育工作会议上的重要讲话精神，按照中央部署和省委要求，对省政府党组开展主题教育进行安排。
会议指出，习近平总书记在“不忘初心、牢记使命”主题教育工作会议上的重要讲话，通篇贯穿了马克思主义立场观点方法，充分彰显了我们党勇于自我革命、全面从严治党的坚定决心，是新时代加强党的建设的纲领性文件，为开展主题教育指明了方向，提供了根本遵循。我们要自觉把思想和行动统一到习近平总书记重要讲话精神上来，统一到党中央决策部署上来，统一到省委工作要求上来，增强“四个意识”，坚定“四个自信”，做到“两个维护”，切实把这次主题教育作为重大政治任务抓紧抓实抓好。
会议强调，要正确把握根本任务，推动学习贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想往深里走、往心里走、往实里走，努力实现理论学习有收获、思想政治受洗礼、干事创业敢担当、为民服务解难题、清正廉洁作表率，着力锤炼忠诚干净担当的政治品格，提高运用党的创新理论指导实践、推动工作的能力。要正确把握总体要求，以好的作风开展主题教育，努力在牢记根本宗旨中坚守初心、在攻坚克难中担当使命、在坚持四个对照中找到差距、在崇尚实干中狠抓落实，注重实际效果，解决实质问题，做到学习教育要深、调查研究要实、检视问题要真、整改落实要硬，实现学思用贯通、知信行统一。要正确把握科学方法，着力在结合和转化上下功夫，把开展主题教育与贯彻习近平总书记对湖北工作的重要指示批示精神结合起来，与完成改革发展稳定各项任务结合起来，聚焦打好三大攻坚战、推动长江经济带绿色发展、落实“一芯两带三区”区域和产业发展布局、解决人民群众反映强烈的热点难点问题等重点工作，把党员干部在主题教育中激发出来的工作热情和奋斗精神，转化为攻坚克难、干事创业的强大动力，以高质量的学习教育成果推动高质量发展。省政府党组和班子成员要坚持以身作则、以上率下，坚持两手抓、两促进，力戒形式主义、官僚主义，确保主题教育扎实推进、取得实效。（甘勇）
